How the Bracket Is Built
A single-elimination bracket is a series of rounds where the loser of each match is out and the winner moves on, until one player remains. The generator builds it using standard tournament rules, so the structure matches what you would see in a professional draw.

The bracket is sized to the next power of two above your player count (8, 16, 32, and so on). With 8 players it fills exactly; with 6, it uses an 8-slot bracket and adds byes.

A bye is a free pass through the first round. When your count is not a power of two, the top seeds receive the byes, so stronger entries are not knocked out by an empty slot.
📊 Seeding
Standard seeding pairs the best against the weakest (1 vs last, 2 vs second-last), keeping top entries apart until later rounds. You choose the seed order, or let the tool draw it.

Reproducible random draws — the part most generators skip. When you pick a random draw, the tool shows you a short "seed" value. Anyone who enters the same players with the same seed gets the exact same bracket. That means a random draw can be replayed and checked, so no one can claim the bracket was arranged to favour a particular player. Share the seed with your participants and the draw is verifiable, not just "trust me."
Two Ways to Seed Your Players
- Entered order: the order you type players in becomes the seed order. Put your strongest first if you want traditional seeding, where the top players only meet in later rounds.
- Random draw (reproducible): the tool shuffles players using a seed value. Leave the seed blank for a fresh draw, or type one in to reproduce a specific bracket. Same players plus same seed always produce the same result.
