What does this tool do?

It converts a number into its written English form, in two modes:

• Words mode spells the number itself — for example, 1,234 becomes "one thousand two hundred thirty-four". Decimals are read out ("point five"), and negative numbers are supported.
• Currency / cheque mode writes a money amount the way a cheque requires it — for example, 1,234.56 becomes "One thousand two hundred thirty-four dollars and fifty-six cents". You can set the currency unit (dollar, euro, pound, and so on).

How the tool works
