What does this tool do?

For each round it lists the matches, alternates home and away for fairness, and, when you have an odd number of participants, marks who rests that round. How the tool works
The schedule is generated with the classic circle method, the standard algorithm for round-robin tournaments.
- Fix one, rotate the rest: one participant stays in place while the others rotate one position each round. Pairing the two ends of the line each time produces every unique matchup with none repeated.
- Rounds and matches: with an even number N of participants you get N−1 rounds of N/2 matches each. Every participant plays exactly once per round.
- Odd numbers get a bye: if the count is odd, a placeholder is added so pairings stay even. Whoever is paired with it rests that round, and the bye rotates so the rest is shared fairly.
- Home and away: in single mode, home/away alternates by round for balance. In double mode, a second leg repeats every fixture with home and away swapped.
